Cother Hajat is a UK trained and certified Public Health Physician and Professor. She has worked as an NHS Consultant in Public Health, including as Cardiovascular lead for 2 UK Health Authorities, as well as the lead for Chronic Disease at the Ministry of Health in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Her work on establishing a chronic disease prevention programme has been widely published and presented in high profile media articles. Subsequently, she has worked as an adjunct Professor of Public Health and an independent advisor on public health issues.

Lead author of the White Paper “Multiple Chronic Conditions: The Global State”, presented at the World Economic Forum Impact meeting of the UN General Assembly (available at https://lnkd.in/etb9eAJ). This work led to the development of a ‘high-needs patient pathway’ by the Mount Sinai Health System in New York.
Authored the Gulf Region progress report on behalf of the WHO EMRO for the UN declaration on Cardiovascular Disease and WHO Global Monitoring Framework.
